April 14, Meal on a Warming Spring Day

오늘은 2026년 4월 14일이에요. 어제와 오늘 낮 기온이 거의 30도 가까이 올라가서 꽤 더웠어요. 점점 점심 먹고 산책하기가 더워지는 것 같아요.

Today is April 14th, 2026. Yesterday and today the daytime temperature rose close to 30°C, so it was quite hot. It’s getting harder to take a walk after lunch as the weather warms up.

오늘 먹은 메뉴 / Today's Menu
흑미밥 : Black Rice (Heukmi-bap)
오늘은 흑미가 좀 질었어. 나 고슬한 밥을 좋아하거든.
Today the black rice was a bit soggy. I prefer fluffy rice.
맑은계란국 : Clear Egg Soup (Malgeun Gyeran-guk)
깔끔한 계란국이야. 이건 호불호가 거의 없지.
It’s a clean and simple egg soup. This one has almost no dislikes.
코다리강정 : Sweet & Spicy Cod Roe (Kodari Gangjeong)
좀 건조하다고 해야 되나. 나 좋아하는데 오늘은 별로였어. 딸은 싫어해. 닭으로 생각하고 먹고 속았다고 많이 한다고.
It felt a bit dry. I usually like it, but today it wasn’t great. My daughter hates it — she often says she thought it was chicken and felt tricked.
돈육김치볶음 : Stir-fried Pork with Kimchi (Donyuk Kimchi Bokkeum)
너무 양념이 많았어. 맛도 그럭저럭, 손이 많이 가지 않았어.
There was too much seasoning. The taste was just okay, so I didn’t eat much.
햄총알버섯 볶음 : Stir-fried Ham and King Oyster Mushrooms (Ham Chongal Beoseot Bokkeum)
버섯은 다 좋아해. 햄이 없으면 더 좋았을 듯 해.
I like all kinds of mushrooms. It would have been better without the ham.
베이컨 미역줄기 볶음 : Stir-fried Bacon and Sea Mustard Stems (Bacon Miyokjulgi Bokkeum)
미역줄기 볶음도 미역만 있으면 더 좋았을 것 같아요.
Stir-fried sea mustard stems would have been better with just the miyeok without bacon.
오이부추소박이 : Cucumber and Chive Sobagi (Oi Buchu Sobagi)
오이소박이 좋아해.
I really like cucumber sobagi.
생취나물 무침 : Fresh Wild Chive Namul (Saeng Chwi Namul Muchim)
다양한 나물을 좋아해.
I like all kinds of wild vegetable side dishes.
백김치 : White Kimchi (Baek Kimchi)
매운 것을 싫어하는 사람들이 좋아할 것 같아요.
This seems like something people who don’t like spicy food would enjoy.
추가 반찬 : Extra sides 김, 샐러드 Toasted seaweed (gim), salad.
오늘은 날씨가 더워서 그런지 식욕이 조금 떨어졌어요. 그래도 오이부추소박이와 나물 무침은 만족스러웠습니다. 여러분은 코다리강정 좋아하세요? 요즘 날씨가 점점 더워지는데, 더운 날 점심으로는 어떤 메뉴가 좋으신가요?

Today the hot weather made me a bit less hungry. Still, I enjoyed the cucumber and chive sobagi and the wild vegetable namul. Do you like cod roe gangjeong? As the weather gets hotter, what kind of lunch dishes do you prefer?
