    오늘은 2026년 4월 10일 금요일이에요. 아직도 비가 조금씩 오고 바람도 제법 불어서 식사 후 산책을 못했어요. 그래도 금요일이라 그런지 기분은 항상 좋습니다!

    Today is Friday, April 10th, 2026. It’s still raining lightly and quite windy, so I couldn’t go for a walk after lunch. Still, it’s Friday, so I’m in a good mood as always!

     

    오늘 먹은 메뉴 / Today's Menu

    흑미밥 : Black Rice (Heukmi-bap)

    주먹밥이 있어서 조금만 담았어요.

    There was also rice balls, so I only took a small portion of black rice.

     

    주먹밥 : Rice Balls (Jumeok-bap)

    양념이 뭔지 잘 모르겠는데 김, 깨와 알 수 없는 양념이 들어갔어요. 특별한 맛은 느껴지지 않았어요.

    I’m not sure what the seasoning was, but it had seaweed, sesame seeds, and some unknown seasoning. It didn’t have a very distinct flavor.

     

    김치콩나물국 : Kimchi Bean Sprout Soup (Kimchi Kongnamul-guk)

    시원한 콩나물국이에요. 약간 매콤한 느낌도 나고, 한국에서 “시원하다”는 표현이 정말 다양하게 쓰이죠.

    It’s a refreshing bean sprout soup with a slight spicy kick. Koreans use the word “siwonhada” (refreshing/cool) in so many different ways.

     

    안동찜닭 : Andong Braised Chicken (Andong Jjim-dak)

    맛있었어요. 너무 달지 않아서 좋았고, 당면이 있으면 더 좋았을 것 같아요.

    It was delicious. Not too sweet, which I liked. It would have been even better with glass noodles.

     

    등심탕수육 : Tenderloin Sweet & Sour Pork (Deungsim Tangsuyuk)

    시판용 탕수육인데 맛은 괜찮았어요.

    It was like store-bought sweet and sour pork, but the taste was decent.

     

    명란계란찜 : Pollack Roe Steamed Egg (Myeongran Gyeran-jjim)

    계란찜 위에 명란마요소스를 올렸어요.

    Steamed egg topped with pollack roe mayo sauce.

     

    느타리버섯 피망 볶음 : Stir-fried Oyster Mushrooms and Bell Peppers (Neutari Beoseot Pimang Bokkeum)

    적절한 간이었고 버섯이 맛있었어요. 나이를 먹을수록 버섯을 더 좋아하게 되는 것 같아요.

    The seasoning was just right and the mushrooms were tasty. I seem to like mushrooms more as I get older.

     

    짜사이무침 : Pickled Mustard Stem Salad (Jjasai Muchim)

    대표적인 중식 반찬이에요. 전 단무지를 더 좋아하지만요.

    A classic Chinese side dish. I personally prefer pickled radish though.

     

    양배추찜 : Steamed Cabbage (Yangbaechu-jjim)

    양배추를 쪄서 쌈장에 찍어 먹거나 밥을 싸 먹어요. 내가 좋아하는 거예요.

    Steamed cabbage that you can dip in ssamjang or wrap with rice. This is one of my favorites.

     

    백김치 : White Kimchi (Baek Kimchi)

    매운 것을 싫어하는 사람들이 좋아할 것 같아요. 우리는 보통 매운 것과 같이 먹지만요.

    This seems like something people who don’t like spicy food would enjoy. We usually eat it together with spicy dishes though.

     

    추가 반찬 : Extra sides 김, 샐러드 Toasted seaweed (gim), salad.

     

     

    오늘은 안동찜닭과 양배추찜이 특히 마음에 들었어요. 비 오는 금요일이었지만 구내식당의 다양한 메뉴 덕분에 기분 좋게 점심을 먹었습니다. 여러분은 백김치 좋아하세요? 아니면 매운 김치를 더 선호하시나요?

    Today, the Andong braised chicken and steamed cabbage were my favorites. Even though it was a rainy Friday, the variety of dishes at the cafeteria made lunch very enjoyable. Do you like white kimchi? Or do you prefer spicy kimchi?
