  • April 4, Grilled Fish Date with My Wife

    오늘은 2026년 4월 4일 토요일이에요. 딸아이가 친구들과 점심 약속이 있어서, 오랜만에 부인과 둘이서 마트에 갔어요. 마트 가는 길에 있는 생선구이 전문점 “생선시절”에서 점심을 먹었습니다. 평소에 딸이 생선구이를 별로 안 좋아해서 같이 먹기 어려웠는데, 오늘은 딸이 없는 틈을 타서 제대로 즐겼어요.

     

    Today is Saturday, April 4th, 2026. My daughter had lunch plans with her friends, so my wife and I went to the mart together for the first time in a while. We had lunch at a grilled fish restaurant called “생선시절 (Saengseon Sijeol)” on the way. My daughter doesn’t really like grilled fish, so it’s hard to eat it together — today we took the opportunity while she was out and enjoyed it properly.

     

     

    오늘 먹은 메뉴 / Today's Menu

    고등어 구이 : Grilled Mackerel (Godeungeo Gui)

    집에서는 조리할 때 냄새가 많이 나서 먹기 어려워. 역시 생선은 직화로 구워야 되나 봐. At home it’s hard to cook because of the strong smell. Grilled fish really tastes best when cooked over an open flame.

     

    삼치구이 : Grilled Spanish Mackerel (Samchi Gui)

    노릇하게 잘 구워졌어.

    It was nicely grilled with a beautiful golden color.

     

    공기밥 : Steamed Rice (Gonggi-bap)

    쌀이 좋은 거 같아. 밥맛이 정말 좋았어.

    The rice seemed to be good quality. The rice tasted excellent.

     

    시래기된장국 : Dried Radish Greens Doenjang Soup (Siraegi Doenjang-guk)

    간도 적당하고 맛이 있었어.

    The seasoning was just right and it tasted really good.

     

    기본반찬 : Basic Side Dishes (Gibon Banchan)

    김치, 떡볶이, 오뎅볶음, 연근, 도라지, 샐러리장아찌, 잡채

    Kimchi, tteokbokki, stir-fried fish cake, lotus root, bellflower root, celery pickles, japchae.
